Founded in 1976, OCEAN, the European Ship Suppliers Organization is the voice of the ship supply industry regarding European affairs.

OCEAN's objective is to represent the interests of all European ship suppliers in European Union matters relating to the shipping industry.

Membership is open to national ship supply organizations within the European Union.
​
OCEAN is a committee of ISSA - International Shipsuppliers & Services Association - which is the international association of national ship supplier associations.
ISSA is the international association representing nearly 2,000 ship suppliers worldwide.
​
The Association was established in 1955 and celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in 2015 after 60 years of service to the maritime industry.
​
ISSA includes 40 national ship supplier associations as full members and associates members in 51 other countries where there is no national association.
​
Over 500 locations are serviced by ISSA members.
Created in 2006, theFrench Maritime Cluster (CMF) brings together all the players in the maritime ecosystem, from industry to maritime services and activities of all kinds.
It is now made up of more than 460 entities: companies of all sizes, competitiveness clusters, federations and associations, laboratories and research centers, schools and training organizations, local authorities and economic players, as well as the French Navy.

The CMF supports its members in the sustainable and responsible development of their activities and projects, in France and abroad, through various actions.
